Google Transit is simply amazing. Note to KCATA and The JO: please call Google to sign up for the transit feed.

    I sent an email asking about this maybe 3-4 months ago and got no response.

    seems unusual that you didn’t get a response, even if it’s “we don’t know what google is”. maybe they are actually working on it and will surprise you momentarily? if not, i can’t imagine any transit agency turning down the FREE advertising and improved trip planning — let’s face it, google maps is becoming the default map view for a new generation. regardless, i can’t even use the ATA’s trip planner because it doesn’t support Mac… and the JO doesn’t even have one to start with.

    RTA: are you listening? can we enlist someone to help these agencies get on board?

    my company has created a web based scheduling system for these agencies to manage their data, which we then export to Google Transit in their GTFS format. we can have small to medium size agencies up and running in just a few weeks. have them contact me if you’d like them to be on Google Transit.
